1st Birthday Party Photography

A first birthday party is a milestone for the parents as much as it is for the babe themselves! 1st birthday party photography ensures that you capture all of the small details without the worry of being behind the camera yourself.

The best thing about a first birthday party is that it can be anything that you want it to be. A formal affair or a relaxed backyard BBQ. No matter how you celebrate, party photography allows you to get those family and group shots you’ve always talked about, but hadn’t quite gotten around to.

party photography your way

Since you’re getting all dressed up anyway, why not sneak in a few family photos at home like the lovely Pugliese family did? Gorgeous Archie was fresh from his nap, and the quiet calm of home allowed us to capture posed and candid photos of the children before the distraction of party food, cousins and friends took over.

Whether you’ve booked a venue, or are celebrating at home, it’s a great idea to gather the immediate family for a few posed shots as well as candid images of the party itself. My 1st birthday party photography packages include all viable images, so there’s plenty of opportunity to get a wide variety of images.

1st birthday party photography that captures all of the details

It takes a lot of time (and love) to plan a first birthday party. As a mum of two, I understand the hours that you’ve put in and that you want to remember all of the little details. From the topper on the cake, to party favours or snuggles with grandma, I’ll capture all of your special shots.

My style of party photography is to mingle and interact with guests so I can capture genuine connection as well as posed shots. If you have an entertainer, I’ll capture them in action as well as your guest’s reactions to the fun!

how many hours should i book?

In general, two hours is long enough to capture your guests arriving at the first birthday party venue until the cake is cut. If you would like photos prior or you have a bigger event that will have a longer duration you can add on as many hours as you like.

There is a one-hour minimum which is perfect for smaller gatherings where you’re after photos of the most important details, such as cutting the cake and a few photos with your guests.
