what to expect when you hire me as your event photographer

During the planning stage we’ll discuss the location of your special event and any particular photos you’d like me to capture. We can make a list so no one is forgotten, or take a more relaxed approach.

On the day, I’ll arrive around 15 minutes before schedule. This allows me to capture your decorations, cake and all of the small details before your guests arrive.

My style of event photography is to wander and mingle with your guests. I’ll take a combination of posed and candid shots, as well as the all important moments such as cutting the cake, speeches or christening anointment.

When it comes to birthday party photography, most clients have me capture the festivities until just after the cake is cut. With just a minimum of two hours, I offer flexible event photography services that are perfect for gatherings of all sizes.

How do I receive my photos?

Once edited, I’ll send a link to your online gallery. You can download your images in high and low resolution. You have 14 days to download your images before your gallery closes.

Will you travel to more than one location?

Yes, I understand that events such as christenings your celebration is held across two venues. I’ll add my travel time into the booking to accommodate this.

How long will it take to receive my photos?

Officially my turn around time for your initial gallery is two weeks. Generally I’m as excited to view your images as you are, so usually it’s much faster than this.

What does all 'viable' images mean

When it comes to events, I often have to take several photos of the same shot to ensure everyone is looking, no one has their eyes shut and the image is flattering. I’ll select the very best images for your gallery.

Do you take photos of parties held in the evening?

I am a natural light photographer which means I don’t use a flash. If your event is held during daylight savings or has good natural light, I’d love to capture it for you. If it is indoors with little to no natural light a photographer who works with this style of lighting would best capture your event for you.
