My style of photography is earthy and bold. It makes the most of the natural environment around Melbourne’s west. Think the golden sun glimmering through rustling gums, rich ocean blues and sun kissed fields.
Take the lead and enjoy time with the family, or let me gently guide you through the session until you forget I’m even there. During our session I’ll capture a mix of posed portraits as well as candid shots so you can hold on to the quirks, cuteness and connection of family life today.

It’s photo time! Come ready for a relaxed & fun session where being yourself is encouraged!
During the planning stage we’ll select a location that suits your look. As a family photographer who loves the outdoors, my preferred locations all have plenty of space to interact, run and play.
On the day I’ll take time to chat to you before we get into the session. This gives you and your children a little time to warm up to me.
Once we get started I’ll gently prompt you if needed, or simply let you run and play. There’s plenty of time for snuggle breaks (in fact they’re encouraged!) and to get some photos of mum & dad whilst the little ones have a break from being in front of the lens.
Best of all as well as beautiful photos, you’ll also get the benefit of working with an experienced primary school teacher and mum of two (very energetic) boys. I have hours of practice interacting and building rapport with children.

Once edited, I’ll send a link to your online gallery. You can download your images in high and low resolution. You have 14 days to download your images before your gallery closes.
Every package includes a set number of images that are included in the price. If you’d like to purchase additional images they’re available for $25 each, or you can upgrade to the whole gallery.
Officially my turn around time for your initial gallery is two weeks. Generally I’m as excited to view your images as you are, so usually it’s much faster than this.
When you book with me, you will receive a comprehensive session preparation guide so you feel confident and prepared for your photoshoot. This includes a what to wear guide that suggests colour combinations and outfit choices to help you dress the fam in style.
I’m based in Hobsons Bay and have a range of beautiful locations that I can share with you. You can choose from the beach, parks and bushland.
If you have a location in mind that’s a little further away, get in touch as I charge a small travel fee for locations over 10km from home.

Laura is a Melbourne family photographer based in Hobsons Bay. She offers relaxed family photography, maternity photography, newborn photography and small event photography in Melbourne’s west and surrounds.
This includes (but isn’t limited to) the suburbs of Werribee, Point Cook, Altona, Williamstown, Yarraville and Newport. Laura is known for her earthy toned outdoor photography and ability to make family photos feel comfortable and fun.
